It seemed the usual "show tummy" cosplay won, though it was magnificent, but those who truly captured the spirit did not even get an honorable mention.
That one is pretty awesome, for sure. I was really impressed by the Ashes of Al'ar costume, which you can see in the background of this picture. And oh, wow, that Tuskarr!
We LOVED the Tuskarr! The effort and craftmanship was unbelievable: should have been first prize. I also loved that the woman who went as Lady Jaina was a little on the Rubenesque side of a full-figured woman: there was the troll druid in cat form that was worthy of any college mascot uniform, too -great stuff.
That one was great, especially with the acting! And I like the Horde Training Dummy too, I sure couldn't have judged that contest as there were so many really great outfits.
That tuskarr was great, especially when he lost his waist thingy. Not many that made me laugh but two of the ones you have featured here did it for me. I can see why the winner did so well. She had a truly intricate design. I wanted to get dressed up too after al those costumes :P
She did have an intricate design, but the second runner-up blew that point away. She was amazing. It's almost like they need different categories: the training dummy and "mage table' should be in the "things we take for granted" one! lol Hey, in every contest there's a winner and every one else, so that's the name of the game. Now makes me wish I had gotten my procrastinating-seamtress friend to get on the schtick!
Looks like a simplest cosplay, but he really put his heart to make this. Check out more about this cosplay here http://unrealitymag.com/index.php/2013/11/11/cosplay-of-the-day-the-winner-of-blizzcon/
I hope you didn't think I was being sarcastic: I know he did this from the South Park episode, and I truly believe it should have won at least second place or first runner up. It was awesome. Your own site is fun, too - great gifs!
