Matty's Movie Mog Contest
The Oscars are on my birthday this year, February 24th! To celebrate, I'm going to put together a mog contest of sorts.
Here are the rules:
- Deadline for submission: February 20, 2013 (any time zone is fine)
- Submission format: Screenshots of each of your entries, with character name from the movie
- Mog ensemble: somewhere jot down what you did, so if folks ask, it's available
- What: Submit three mog outfits, (Mogit is fine) of three characters from one of your favorite movies, or from one of the award nominees this year. For example, Mary Todd, Abraham, and Robert Lincoln would be a good trio. This is not their Oscar or red carpet attire, but the costumes in the films.
Call your publicist and get busy!
Prizes? Sure. Let me think. Big gold statue? Fresh out. Featured on the blog? Sure. I'll put up the submissions between February 21-22 for SurveyMonkey voting, and we'll go from there! Break a leg!

Addendum: I don't care if you mix mail and cloth - mix and match all you want to get the look you want.
Wow, this should be something to see! My problem is it would take me forever to even narrow down my movie choices!

ReplyDeleteNice try, Navi and Tome. That is your polite way of saying you have no time. Well Navi - with your new bloody-mouthed rabbit, it's obvious which movie you should choose, and yes, the rabbit counts! Tome, saddle up to the bar next to your hunky human male and I am envisioning a western.... Come on girls, take a fifteen minute break from pet battles for my birthday wish! Please? No? Okay. Fine. It's not like I turn 29 everyday you know. LOL!

DeleteSorry Tome, I tried to type that last one in the dark on my Kindle - anyway, sorry about that - it is only one movie, and three actors. I'm demanding, but not unreasonable! And yes, I think anything goes: if you want to cast Jarel M. in one of the roles, go for it! Pets, too - they all count toward the three characters from one movie.
DeleteFavorite movies count? *whew* For a moment I was worried that I'd be out of luck since I haven't seen most of the nominees. I will totally get right on this. :D

DeleteOh!!! Exciting! I don't know what movie I'll want to do but I just have to come up with something! Even if it's terrible XD. WEll... if it's terrible It'll bug me until I come up with something awesome. Must play with mogit, must, must must!
ReplyDeleteGuess I won't be getting too much homework done. Guess that's why I'm going back to middle school this week. XD (I'm going for observation hours. It's my terrible attempt at a joke.)

I love everyone's entries, seriously awesome stuff!! My movie choice wasn't hard since the saga is still quite rampant in my heart but what was hard is finding appropriate looking gear for the costumes. I don't really like my choices but it's done for now.
