Okay, a long time ago, cross-dressing rogue told me the reason why he played a rogue human female was because he had heard the creator of Lara Croft/Tomb Raider knew he would be spending hours watching this character, and wanted some eye candy to sweeten the long hours. I went to research this statement (being the good NPC Sexy Librarian that I am), and came across all kinds of controversy surrounding Lara. (Dammit, dammit all to hell! I didn't want to step in a pile of dog poo this morning, and here I am, having to scrape it off my shoe. I am going to back-burner these thoughts for another time, but suffice it to say they do coincide with some of the darker undercurrents of this so-called "fantasy" world.)
So, dear readers, back to our regularly scheduled post:
Cap loved the mog look, and was very excited to be seen by players all over the world. He told me he was in the US Navy, after all, and we'll just leave it at that. His only comment was that he wouldn't mind if his character was a little more sexy, since, after all (like the designers of Lara), he spent hours looking at her. Can't blame a dude, ya know?
So, Cap, most of this can be crafted, so easily obtained. I tried to match some of the accents of lavender and reds, and I think the shoulders could be better, but those big pauldrons on a female human can get chunky looking fast. Notice the boots have accents of lavender to match the new dagger you SHOULD get if all goes well--come on, brother, you're sexy and you know it!

Cap is a mage on my raiding team, an incredibly nice person, and a pleasure to hang around. I must admit I was on the side of blunt when I told him he needed some mogging, but once I explained he seemed all for it!

Note: He won the Ledger off-hand, and though he's not a healer, saw the immediate great mogging opportunity. This off-hand is one of my all-time favorites. It reminds me of intaglio acid-burning plates for engraved prints I used to make, like one of them got left in the acid bath too long. I realize these tend toward the fire-magey look, but in my defense, I was designing around his dagger and off-hand:
I took this screenshot of our guild's irreverent DK, Tapanga, with her (his) shiny pink axes. He didn't know I was taking this screenshot, because I was on one of my many alts who happened to have her i-Phone handy, and snapped away. (Is there no privacy anymore?!) I was going to do a complete unauthorized mogjacking and get rid of those Netherblades, but then, while messing around with Mogit this morning on my own Worgen, Lunancy, I realized, "Hey! Who am I to judge the boy's need to sport pink axes?!" Who indeed....
So, here is what I have come up with:
I think this ensemble captures and supports the Netherblades' true pink, shiny glory, while still conveying a healthy sense of "I am Worgen: Hear Me Roar!"
Postscript: Now if I could only paint those claws a pretty shade of pink nail polish...
My dear friend has a warlock who's been on the benches for a while, and it's time to get him in mog-shape.
But what is one to do when the warlock is a bit more "let's go fishing" versus "MAWHAHAHAHAH?"
He is also generally very loyal and dedicated to the Alliance, so having emblamatic equipment of duty and honor to the Blue & Gold makes sense to me, too.
I also wanted to get away from robes. Male characters do not really mind the time-honored tradition of robes, but given the mog option of having your pants and zipping them, too, helps. (Not that there's anything wrong with kilts and going commando, mind you.)
Either by way of avoidance or simply because I wanted to do it, one thing that came out of yesterday was, looking over Xak's Holy Paladin alt, I thought he needed some sprucing up:

Xak gave me his blessing to see what I could do. I found it more challenging than I had anticipated. Now Xak is great--intelligent, irreverent, and (usually) charming. For him to have a Holy Paladin seems somewhat incongruent in terms of character studies go, but I also know from experience paladins tend to be dually chivalrous and cheeky. Maybe it's all the burden 'saving the world' stuff. In any case, I wanted to find some plate wear that would not be too overly "hero," but would also be classy with a touch of tongue-in-cheek. Not sure how I did, and I am open to suggestions:
