OLRG: FIRE IT UP! (And boring old lady slide show time)

All righty then, Old Ladies Raiding Guild--my question to you, after much success through not one but four 'past glory' raids is, "Are you ready for Firelands?!" (dundundunnnnnn)

Tome did a great write up of yesterday's OLRG - and Happy Birthday, and Happy Birthday to Jstmel/Thel who couldn't make it yesterday due to his own celebrations.

We've done Blackwing Descent, Bastion of Twilight, Throne of the Four Winds, and Black Temple. Next up will be Firelands, then Dragon Soul, and then….and then….whatever else we want. No matter how close we get to matching our OP Gear Scores to the raid level, never forget our creed, our motto, our damn MISSION STATEMENT PEOPLE!

Wait, what was it again? Oh yeah…NEVER APOLOGIZE AND NEVER EXPLAIN!

Was that it? Wait, was it this? Something about fewer players and less money?:

No, no that's not it. Well, I'll throw this out there OLRG'ers - what should our motto be?

And we are ready for Firelands, in all the hot-footed glory?

Heck yes!

So Saturday, November 23, about 4PM Pacific Time (5 Mountain, 6 Central, 7 Eastern) be there or be square - anyone may come along - don't worry if you have Vent, or your character (Alliance) is level 85 - we can make it a 25-man and do what we do best. Play fast, and look good doing it. Firelands has some of the best gear for mogging in game, and know that if there's something you want, we can always go back.

In the meantime, I know you all want to see more pictures of me and some of my Blizzard writers/artists I admire:

And Luperci had to tank yesterday.
It looked something like this:

I've been trying to comment but I keep cracking up over that last gif, lol. Luperci did not look like that, she was marvelous darling. Thanks for all those pictures! Okay, now I better spend the week studying Firelands so the last gif isn't what poor Cat looks like when she goes.

    1. Well, that is what if felt like! LOL! That gif will come in very handy, I suppose --made me giggle too! :)

  2. It was tons of fun! I'll try to make it again next week for sure.

I think I'll just go ahead and keep bringing Kinevra to these things... unless something crazy happens and I suddenly power-level one of my other Alliance gals. With the addition of a Transmogrification Library feature seeming like it *will* happen sooner or later, it won't matter *which* toon actually acquires all those cool looking items, amirite? ;)

    1. Wait, WHAT? A Transmog Library?! What is this sorcery you speak of? We'll be able to keep gear and trade across characters?!?!

    2. "Transmog Library" is my name for the implementation of the Diablo III transmogrification system in WoW:

No timeline, of course, on when we can expect this. Apparently it wasn't included in the BlizzCon presentation about Warlords because the devs weren't sure how long it would take them to get it ironed out and didn't want to promise something they couldn't deliver. So perhaps 6.1 or 6.2?

  3. I thought you did great tanking! And it was lots and lots of fun! I love running around and hanging out with all these awesome people and finishing stuff I didn't get to finish back in the day. :D Thanks so much for putting them together. And of course we are ready for Firelands! We are ready for anything!

    1. I told CD Rogue last night those of some of the best pictures I've had taken of me in a long, long time - he said it was because I was happy to meet those folks, and it's true!

I'm so very sad I never found you at Blizzcon. :(
Especially since Vidyala is my Guild Leader & while I didn't hang around her on the con floor the entire time, I usually knew where she was.

    1. Aw, Elfi, me too! I bet they have another one in a year or two. It is a tremendous amount of time-off-task for Blizz employees, though I bet if you asked most of them they would say they love it. Nothing like meeting one's fan base to get reenergized.

  6. I want to come to Firelands!!! I was on a WoW hiatus when it was popular and have never been. Plus my alliance monk is now 87 and hopefully old enough to not be dead constantly. :D
