"We got a bug, Zed."

I am not trying to be a jerk. I am not trying to misuse customer service. I am just reporting a problem.

Here and there are players reporting on the problems that cross-realm nonsense is causing. It is a disaster, worse than a mana bomb, worse than poor lore delivery, worse than a bad mog. This is the issue of both cross-realm crap and losing Have Group Will Travel.

Thanks, Blizz. Thanks a hell of a lot.

Tried to do something with my cub. Nope. Not gonna happen. Tried to do something with JD. Nada. DENIED ACCESS.

Told my woes to Cross Dressing Rogue, who used to dabble in game design and is still heavily involved in UX design. His advice? If the issue is ruining game play experience, it's a bug.

Simple as that.

So, my fellow Azerothians, I am putting out the call to arms: if you experience any dimenishment in play enjoyment because of the cross realm crap (or CRAP, which stands for Cross-Realm Annoyed Populace) or the loss of social interaction because of the loss of Have Group Will Travel, please report it as a bug to your local chapter of This Is Pissing Me Off. JD and I legitimately did get error messages, and that, my dear friends, equates BUGGERY.

Time to squash some bugs.

  1. Using the meeting stones if there is three of you helps even if you don't plan on doing instances.

There are a lot of bugs though :(

  2. I think VoA and TB are no zone Xrealm zones. I think it's because different factions can control it so it would change per server. I wish that we could Xrealm VoA that would be cool, but as far as I know, that cannot be Xrealmed.

  3. Oh, I know all about meeting stones, but there's the glitch - it forces us to find three, when all we may have is two. I think that sucks, and it's damn annoying. The thing is, cross-realm friends was perfect, have HGWT, and call it done. If groups or guilds were abusing it for more gain, well, I liken that to some folks abusing alcohol and now we all have to pay the price of prohibition.

And what about players who may not be that experienced? So now we have to try to talk them to the place, give directions, and then play? I am just damn put out, and yes, sour whiney baby me. I just hate counter-intuitive junk - if Blizz says they want us to be "social" then by God, let us be social, no obstacles.

One clarifying question I do have is how do cross realm things work with friends anway? All I see are strangers from other realms, and have no idea how to get a "friend" over? How does this work?

  4. And we in the Matty-shack still say, every time this doesn't work in any way for players, please report it. Make them put some human time in this.
